At Dream Art Studio, our Portrait Drawing Workshop for teens provides a unique opportunity to explore one of the most rewarding areas of art: capturing the human face. Students will learn how to combine observation, proportion, and expression to create lifelike portraits while developing their own artistic style. This workshop is perfect for teens looking to sharpen their drawing skills, build a strong portfolio, or simply enjoy the creative process in a supportive, studio setting.

What Students Will Learn

Understand facial proportions and structure

Practice sketching accurate features (eyes, nose, lips, ears, hair)

Learn shading techniques to add depth and realism

Study light and shadow to create three-dimensional effects

Explore different portrait styles, from realistic to expressive

Use professional materials like graphite, charcoal, and colored pencils

Strengthen observation skills by drawing from photos and live references

Gain confidence in capturing likeness and emotion

Complete finished portrait artworks to take home or add to a portfolio
